Egg, Ham & Cheese Crêpe

Recipe for egg ham cheese square pancake (crêpe)

Ingredients

Scale

Batter: (makes 2-3 pancakes)

  • 1 egg
  • 50g flour
  • 150ml milk
  • Butter to grease the pan

Filling

  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 1 handful of grated cheese (I used Mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the batter by mixing the egg and the milk together then gradually add the flour in and mix until it’s smooth and clump free
  2. In a pan on medium heat, add a small slice of butter to grease the pan
  3. Pour some batter into the pan and gently rotate it to make sure that the batter covers the entire surface
  4. Add a handful of grated cheese into the middle of the pancake
  5. Add 2 slices of ham
  6. Crack an egg in the middle
  7. Add some salt and pepper to taste
  8. Once the sides are brown, fold the four sides towards the middle, leaving the egg to show
  9. Cover with a lid and cook for a few minutes until the egg whites become opaque
  10. Garnish with some parsley, then you’re ready to serve!
