Hey guys, you know that I love my kitchenware and kitchen gadgets. I wait for Black Friday every year with great anticipation because that’s when you can score the BEST discounts on some big ticket items that would usually cost a fortune. I actually bought my trusty KitchenAid Mixer and my Instant Pot pressure cooker for a fraction of the price during Black Friday sales. There will be a lot of deals going around during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I’ve done my research in preparation and compiled a list of my favourite tools and gadgets for cooking / filming that are worth the investment and where you can find the best deals for them!

TIP: There are some early Black Friday deals at the moment but the big discounts usually kick in on Friday and the subsequent Cyber Monday. Save these items to your basket in advanced so that you can track the price drop and purchase when the sales actually happen (especially when there’s limited stock).

Electricals

Big ticket items are the number one things to look out during Black Friday, this is when you can usually score the best discounts!

Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus Pressure Cooker
INSTANTPOT

My favourite Black Friday purchase of all time has to be my Instant Pot. I got it for half the price when it went on sale during Black Friday. I still use it weekly to cook stews and braise meat. It honestly saves me so much time and makes everything so tender. It’s also very safe and easy to use. The model I have is a couple of years old now, and they’ve come out with a much more sophisticated model that includes fancy functions like sous vide which makes me really tempted to get an upgrade!

KITCHEN AID STAND MIXER

Now you’ve seen my mixer make an appearance on so many of my Instagram stories. I use it to make cakes, cookie dough, dumpling skins. It’s a dream! And it’s just beautiful too. One of the first items I managed to get it for £200 less than the retail price at the time which was a pretty sweet deal.

Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer
Philips Air Fryer
Air Fryer

This is something that’s on my wishlist for a while now. I’ve used the air fryer from my parent’s house many times and honestly it’s such a time saver, you can quickly fry food without any oil and it’s quite easy to clean as well. I’m eyeing this beautiful Air Fryer from Philips that comes in this beautiful white colour. The basic Philips Model usually go for about £60 during Black Friday so do keep an eye out!

BONUS: Now if you’re also thinking about getting an instant pot, there are also new hybrids that are both pressure cookers and air fryer – I’ve already seen some deals for the Ninja Foodi and the Instant Pot Crisp Duo

Food Processor

I bought one of those affordable multi-function food processor with blender combined a while back and realised recently that I should have invested into something more durable and designed for purpose. You’ll be investing for a sharp blade and something that’s not going to break quickly. This is on top of my list this Black Friday, found a discounted deal on this beautiful Cuisinart one with a pearl finish, very tempted to jump ship!

Cuisinart Food Processor
Vitamix Blender
Blender

The king of blenders – if you’re a regular blender user, you’ll realise how important it is to have a powerful functioning one. Oftentimes cheaper versions will do an adequate jobs but can break easily because the motor is not strong enough – especially if you decide to throw in some ice cubes into the mix, yikes!

Pots & Pans
STAUB Cast Iron Round Cocotte
Cast Iron Pot

Currently eyeing on this gorgeous matte black STAUB cast Iron pot with gold hardware. These will last you for a lifetime and are super versatile to use. Cast irons are a dream to use, they retain heat really well – I often use them to make ragus, stews, and deep fry my food! Definitely a worthwhile investment. I’ve seen these go for about 30%-40% off on Harrods’ site so keep an eye out!

Buy here: Amazon, Harrods (UK)

Cast Iron Skillet

Brilliant to sear your meats – when well seasoned, they’re super sturdy and versatile. I often cook my full English on it, make some cookie dough and throw it in an oven and you have a quick and delicious skillet cookie that remains warm and gooey for a long time. They’re also not as expensive as you’d imagine!

Buy here: Amazon

Cast Iron Skillet
Stainless Steel Pan
Stainless Steel Pan

These will last you a lifetime as well, they are super sturdy and distribute heat really really well. When heated properly, they won’t stick to your food. Look for stainless steel cookware with aluminum cores, these will distribute heat best!

Saute Pan

My favourite type of pan shape – I actually use this type of pan to make my fuffy pancakes as they are tall and come with a lid as well. Super convenient for one-pot dishes. The non-stick surface also make them easy to use for stir fries, pasta, soupy paellas, risottos.

Silicone Spatulas

These are fantastic and super durable. Helps you scrape off all the batter when baking. Get them in different shapes and sizes to tailor to your specific needs

These can come expensive but is honestly a great investment. A good chef’s knife will last you for ages – Black Friday is a great time to score a good deal!

Kilner Glass Jars

I use these handy glass jars to keep my ingredients organised. The 2L square angled versions are my favourite because they’re super easy to stack and can fit a whole pack of flour easily!

6×3″ Cake pan

My favourite pan size, so versatile – great when you want to experiment with new recipes but don’t want to waste too much ingredients in case it doesn’t work out! Perfect to build your tall cakes too!

Wilton Icing Nozzle Set

Wilton nozzles are my favourite, they’re well made, comes with identification numbers that make it easy to reference what you’ll get – definitely a worthwhile investment if you want to learn how to ice cakes

Egg separator

One of the lower priced item, but critical one for me – it saves me so much time in separating eggs! You can probably see me use this tool on virtually all of my videos hah!

Buy here: Amazon

Camera Equipment

Also sharing with you all some essential camera gears that I use / am looking to invest in to produce content for my various channels:

Canon Camera

I’m currently shopping around for a new camera with 4K capability and toying around with this model and the Canon RP – pretty sure that these will be on sale as new line ups are coming! Best time to grab a great deal on Canon’s best selling vlogger camera.

Buy here: Amazon

Overhead tripod

I used to have one of those cheap £20 tripods, but grabbed this fantastic metal overhead one on sale last year during Black Friday and NEVER LOOKED BACK. They’re amazing, and fantastic for your overhead cooking shots. I’m looking to get another one this year!

Buy here: Amazon

Video Light

Strong Studio quality video light – these are relatively affordable and makes your video look super professional. There’s always some massive discounts on black friday making it the best time to purchase them!

Buy here: Amazon

Rode MiCrophone

This is the microphone that I use. Definitely saw a steep improvement from the standard camera quality sounds. This model gives great quality and is at a budget as well!

Buy here: Amazon

Canon 50mm F/1.2 Lens

My favourite DSLR lens. It creates the dreamiest bokeh with the shallowest depth of field. It’s also laser sharp making it an all round winner if you want to shoot portraits or close ups.

Buy here: Amazon

mobile phone Arm

Super handy when you’re filming some quick cooking clips in the kitchen using your phone! You can attach it on cupboards, shelves tables etc.
